The new song Chaka Chak from the upcoming film, Atrangi Re, was released on November 29, featuring Sara Ali Khan showing off her dance moves at the engagement ceremony. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film also stars Akshay Kumar in a lead role.
Akshay Kumar shared the song on his Twitter and captioned it, “Her fiery moves will make you also want to dance ur heart out. #ChakaChak out now! #AtrangiRe streaming from 24th Dec. on @DisneyPlusHS.”
The song is set against the backdrop of the engagement of Dhanush’s character. It features Sara Ali Khan dancing in a neon green saree and neon pink blouse on folk and classical tune fusion. Her character is dancing her heart out on her husband’s engagement to another girl. Composed by maestro A.R. Rahman, while Shreya Ghoshal has lent voice for it. Irshad Kamil has penned the song’s lyrics and choreographed by Vijay Ganguly.
Produced by T-Series, Cape Of Good Films and Colour Yellow Productions, and written by Himanshu Sharma. Atrangi Re’ marks the second collaboration between Aanand L. Rai and Dhanush. They previously worked together for highly successful ‘Raanjhanaa.’
The film was scheduled to release on Valentine’s Day this year, but the shoot got delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic and Lockdowns. Now Atrangi Re will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from December 24.
