20th Century and Hulu released the trailer for Boston Strangler, an original movie based on the infamous Boston Strangler serial killer from the 1960s.
Starring in the movie is Bill Camp, Carrie Coon, David Dastmalchian, Alessandro Nivola, Chris Cooper, Keira Knightley, Robert John Burke, and Morgan Spector.
The Boston Strangler tells the story of two ladies who, sixty years ago, assisted in identifying one of history’s most infamous serial killers.
The movie’s cast The role of Loretta McLaughlin, the reporter for the Record-American newspaper that broke the tale of the Boston Strangler, is played by Keira Knightley.
By investigating the subject at her peril and exposing corruption that raised questions about the strangler’s identity, McLaughlin and her colleague, the journalist Jean Cole, fought the misogyny of the day.
The movie follows Loretta McLaughlin and Jean Cole, who, at tremendous personal peril, risk their lives in their pursuit of the truth before ultimately ending the reign of terror.
Matt Ruskin is the film’s writer and director. Ridley Scott, Kevin J. Walsh, Michael Pruss, Josey McNamara, and Tom Ackerley are the producers. The movie is scheduled for release on March 17, 2023.
