Elvish Yadav’s role in the sane venom case has taken a startling turn. The Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner was taken into custody on Sunday due to his alleged involvement in the Wild Life Protection Act case. According to an NDTV report, Elvish Yadav has now admitted his involvement in the case.
The young YouTuber, who had previously denied any connection and said he was being set up, has now shockingly admitted having been involved in the snake venom case. In addition to admitting to arranging the supply of snake venom at rave parties, Elvish Yadav also admitted to knowing the five accused who were detained in the same case last year.
Yadav admitted that he had interacted with and met the accused at multiple rave parties, according to NDTV reports. Elvish will have to deal with new allegations despite being placed under 14 days of judicial custody yesterday.
Yesterday, he was placed under judicial custody for 14 days. The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act charges will be added to the ones he already had under the Wild Life Protection Act. Yadav is also charged under Section 29, which deals with drug-related conspiracies such as drug buying and selling. According to reports, granting bail to an accused person facing severe charges is difficult.
On November 3, 2023, a rave party was raided, and shortly after, there was a tip that snake venom was being used to make people intoxicated. A sting operation conducted by People for Animals, led by Maneka Gandhi, exposed the same. The officials were given a phone number as part of the sting operation, allowing them to catch five of the accused—allegedly snake charmers—in the case. The Sixth accused in the case, Elvish Yadav, was questioned over his involvement in the case. Nine snakes and snake venom were reportedly seized from the rave party.
Maneka Gandhi and People for Animals allegedly became suspicious of Yadav’s participation in the supply of snake venom after seeing a video of him holding a snake went viral. Yadav clarified that the snake in the video was part of a shoot that the legendary Bollywood singer Fazilpuria organized.
