The much-awaited family comedy starring Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao Badhaai Do’s shooting has wrapped up. And reportedly the film will be out in cinemas as soon as January next year. The movie directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni is going to hit the theatres during the Republic Day Weekend 2022.
The film’s lead actress Pednekar announced the news about the film’s release date on her Twitter handle. She shared the picture of her sitting on the bench with co-star Rao and film director Kulkarni. “Theatre ready… Aap ready… Toh hum bhi ready.. Republic Day weekend 2022 ko aa rahe hain hum aapse milne in cinemas to celebrate… So save the date!! And congratulations nahi #BadhaaiDo,” she wrote.
Badhaai Do is the second installment of the National Award-winning film, Badhaai Ho, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, and Gajraj Rao. The story and Characters of Badhaai Do are different from Badhaai Ho’s, but both are family-oriented films. Junglee Pictures is ready to take the love for the movie to the next level with Badhaai Do.
As per the report in ANI, speaking about the film, director Kulkarni says, “When it comes to family entertainers, especially comedy films, cinema is the ideal platform as they can be enjoyed with the entire family. We are super excited to bring ‘Badhaai Do’ to cinema halls on the Republic Day weekend. It’s a wholesome entertainer, and I hope the audiences would enjoy watching the movie as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
Badhaai Do is scheduled to release on Republic Day weekend.
