Akshay Kumar had announced the film Raksha Bandhan on the festival of Raksha Bandhan in August 2020. He had shared the first look poster of the film featuring him and four girls, who will possibly play the role of his sisters in the movie. In his Twitter post, he dedicated the film to his sister Alka Bhatia.
Bhumi Pednekar will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar in the upcoming film Raksha Bandhan. A directorial venture of Aanand L Rai. Akshay Kumar shared a happy picture of Bhumi Pednekar and director Aanand L Rai along with the caption, and He wrote: “When you are happy, it shows. And indeed, we are…to have Bhumi Pednekar onboard #RakshaBandhan.
Akshay and Bhumi have earlier worked in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and in Durgamati, Bhumi played the titular role, which was co-produced by Akshay Kumar.
