Anurag Kashyap left his fans in awe with a surprising revelation on his Instagram account on Thursday. He hinted that if movies fail to satisfy his creative hunger, he might venture into the realm of antagonists. The trailer for his much-awaited next film, where he indeed takes on the role of the ‘bad guy,’ has just been unveiled.
The wait is over! The teaser for Disney+ Hotstar’s much-anticipated crime thriller series Bad Cop was finally unveiled on Friday. In the teaser, Anurag appears in a menacing gangster-like avatar, while Gulshan Devaiah makes a powerful comeback as a police officer after Dahaad.
Kazbe, played by Anurag Kashyap, is shown in the teaser as a strong goon who controls other people. In front of his associates, he is shown making a man sing The ABC Song for kids in a mocking way. When Kazbe sees someone outside, he challenges him to say a word that begins with the letter K. This is his way of saying that he wants to be heard before establishing his dominance. After that, Karan, the police officer played by Gulshan Devaiah, arrives on the scene and starts pursuing Kazbe. The teaser hints at a thrilling plot turn, which also raises the possibility of Devaiah having two roles in the series.
Aditya Datt, who previously worked with Gulshan on the 2019 action movie Commando 3, is the director of Bad Cop. Harleen Sethi, who was last seen on Netflix India in Sudip Sharma’s slow-burning drama Kohrra last year, also stars in the series.
