On Thursday, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the capital. The Swades director was inspired by PM’s clear thoughts and visionary ideas during their meeting. However, he did not mention the purpose of his meeting with PM Modi.
Taking to Twitter, Ashutosh shared his two photos with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also penned a Sweet note for PM. “It was an absolute honour, privilege and a pleasure to have had a meeting with you, Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji. Your forthrightness and passion to achieve your vision for the country is incredible! Truly inspired by your clear thoughts and visionary ideas during our meeting, “Filmmaker wrote.
Ashutosh started his career as an actor made his acting debut in 1984 in director Ketan Mehta’s ‘Holi.’ He acted in several films, including Naam, Chamatkar, and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. The movie ‘Pehla Nasha’ in 1993 marked his directorial debut. Ashutosh’s film Lagaan was nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 2002 Oscars. The Filmmaker is also known for directing popular films like Swades and Jodhaa Akbar.
Ashutosh Gowariker last directed period drama ‘Panipat’ in 2019, starring Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt.
