Amitabh Bachchan has unveiled the teaser of his upcoming sports drama Jhund, directed by Marathi movie Sairat fame Nagraj Popatrao Manjule. Amitabh is essaying the role of a retired sports professor who uplifts underprivileged children through football. The trailer gives us a glimpse of the actor and his team.
Sharing the teaser on Twitter, Shehenshah of Bollywood wrote, “Meri team taiyaar hai aur aap? Aa rahe hain hum, #Jhund releasing on 4th March 2022 in cinemas near you.”
The teaser starts with rhythmic music, played by the street boys using different objects like empty drums, empty bottles etc. Amidst this, you will see the entry of Big B in his tracksuit and he signals the boys, they immediately start following him. Amitabh is essaying the role based on Slum Soccer founder Vijay Barse in the upcoming sports drama.
Jhund will mark the Hindi directorial debut of Nagraj Manjule, Known for directing Marathi films Sairat and Fandry. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, Gargee Kulkarni, Manjule and Meenu Aroraa under the banners of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment and Aatpat Films. It’s a Zee Studios worldwide release.
Jhund will release in theatres on March 4, 2022.
