The makers of the most-awaited movie of this year, Pushpa: The Rise, have finally revealed the film’s release date. Earlier makers announced that the film would hit the screens on Christmas this year. Everyone thought that it would release either on December 24th or 25th. But now, they advanced the release by a week and announced the release date as December 17. Film featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
Production house Mythri Movie Makers shared the news of the new release date on their official Twitter handle. They posted the image showing the release date with the caption, “This December, Theatres will go Wild with the arrival of #PushpaRaj Fire #PushpaTheRise will hit the Big Screens on DEC 17th!”.
After the Maharashtra government announced that theatres would reopen from October 22, many Bollywood films have announced their release dates. Ranveer Singh’s long-delayed movie ’83’ also announced its release date as December 24. Maybe to avoid the clash of both films, the makers of Pushpa decided to advance the release by a week.
Written and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa will release in five languages – Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. The film will mark Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil’s debut in the Telugu film industry. He is roped in to play the antagonist role. The film will release in two parts.
