Akshay Kumar’s Welcome 3 Shooting put on hold Over Pending Dues

Akshay Kumar recently revealed the third part of the loved Welcome franchise. An excellent a-cappella version of “Welcome to the Jungle” that he released on his 56th birthday got everyone excited. The movie appears to be undergoing troubles. The rumor is that unpaid dues have halted the film’s production.

The report in ETimes claims that the Federation of Western Cine Association recently urged the actors and crew of Firoz Nadiadwala’s “Welcome to the Jungle” to act upon the producer to pay filmmaker Anees Bazmee’s outstanding balance because his cheques have bounced.

According to reports, the FWICE, three years ago, also issued a non-cooperation order on Firoz Nadiadwala. Additionally, the organization has written to all of the Welcome 3 stars, including Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani, asking that they stop filming until Firoz Nadiadwala pays the outstanding debts owed to the Welcome 2 technicians.

According to BN Tiwari, President of FWICE, “We have informed all the actors of the film, including Akshay Kumar and Disha Patni, that the federation has issued non-cooperation on Firoz Nadiadwala for defaulting payments and that they should not shoot for the film unless pending dues of Rs 2 crore is cleared for the technicians. Firoz Nadiadwala had paid the technicians of ‘Welcome 2’ in 2015, and the amount was about Rs 4 crore, which was later reduced to Rs 2 crore. However, Nadiadwala stopped payment of the cheque after we deposited it.”

He also said, “We issued non-cooperation in 2015 but will implement it now, as he has finally begun work on his next film, and we will not allow him to shoot it till the payment is cleared.”

The entire cast of the movie, including Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Paresh Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Suniel Shetty, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, and others, can be seen in the clip Akshay shared on his Instagram account earlier last week singing a fun, updated version of the Welcome title song with a twist.

Ahmed Khan directs Welcome Back To The Jungle, which Jyoti Deshpande and Feroz Nadiadwala will produce. It is expected to be released On December 25, 2024, during the Christmas.
