Ajay Devgn unveils his first look from the much-awaited film Gangubai Kathiawadi. In the movie, Ajay plays a pivotal role with the main lead Alia Bhatt. The makers of the film announced that for the first time, the major multiplexes- PVR, Inox, Cinepolis, Carnival and Miraj simultaneously host the launch of the film’s trailer on Feb 4.
Taking to Twitter, Ajay shared his first look from the film and captioned it, “Apni pehchaan se chaar chand lagane, aa rahe hai hum! Trailer out tomorrow. #GangubaiKathiawadi in cinemas on 25th Feb, 2022.” In the poster, we see Ajay is wearing a grey blazer with a white pant-shirt. He completed his look by sporting a brown cap with dark shades.
Recently Alia Bhatt also shared the new poster of the film featuring herself. She wrote, “Aa Rahi Hai Gangu Trailer out on 4th February #GangubaiKathiawadi in cinemas on 25th February 2022.”
Gangubai Kathiawadi is a crime drama adapted from one of the chapters of noted author Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai’. It is Alia’s first film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and she plays the titular role. Gangubai was one of the most influential and respected madams from Kamathipura during the 1960s.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and backed by Bhansali Productions, and co-produced by Jayantilal Gada’s Pen India Limited. Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari and Seema pahwa.
Ajay Devgn will be seen in a crucial role in the film and marks his reunion with SLB after the Superhit film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Ajay and Alia starrer another film RRR will also release on March 25, this year.
Gangubai Kathiawadi will release in theatres on February 25, 2022.
