Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath completed three years since its release today. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role. He was playing the role of Mansoor in the movie opposite Sara Ali Khan, who had made her Bollywood debut with Kedarnath.
Taking to Twitter, Abhishek Kapoor shared his photo with Sushant Singh Rajput and penned a heartfelt note remembering Sushant. He wrote, “Still raises my hair to think of the sheer passion and devotion it took to make this saga see the light of day..Immensely grateful to the entire cast & crew! Cant help but be reminded of the grave loss of this extraordinary soul who remains etched to the legacy of this film.”
Later, he shared a short video on Twitter. The video comprises the montage of heart-touching moments from the film Kedarnath. Along with the video, Abhishek wrote, “A movie that took us through a journey of spirituality, love and tragedy only to rise up from the ashes again. Celebrating 3 years of #Kedarnath.”
In the film Kedarnath, Sushant essayed the role of Mansoor, a reserved Muslim porter, falls in love with Mukku (Sara Ali Khan), a beautiful daughter of a Hindu priest. But their love is put to the test amid misunderstandings and nature’s wrath.
Sushant died at his home in Bandra, Mumbai, on June 14, 2020. His last film, Dil Bechara (2020), was released on the streaming platform Hotstar.
