Maharashtra government decided to allow the reopening of Cinema theatres in the state. Makers of the film Laal Singh Chaddha announced the release date. The film stars Kareena Kapoor and Aamir Khan. Earlier it was stated that the film might release on Christmas in December this year. But the makers on Sunday announced that the film would release on Valentine’s Day next year.
Taking to their Twitter handle, Aamir Khan productions shared an official announcement regarding the release date. They mentioned,” “We welcome the decision of the administration to allow cinemas to reopen from October 22. Due to the delays faced as a result of the pandemic, we will be unable to release our film Laal Singh Chaddha, this Christmas. We will now be releasing Laal Singh Chaddha on Valentine’s Day, 2022.”
Advait Chandan directed the film. He made his directorial debut with the 2017 musical drama Secret Superstar, starring Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim. Laal Singh Chaddha is an official adaptation of the Hollywood film of 1994, Forrest Gump. The film went on floors last year. The major part of the film was shot in Punjab and Ladakh. This film also reunites Aamir and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who last worked together in 3 Idiots.
The film will release on February 14, 2022, i.e., on Valentine’s day.
