One of the most well-known personalities, Virat Kohli, has a huge fan base on social media and in the real world. The cricketer, presently in Australia for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2022, posted on his Instagram account to voice his disappointment after seeing that a video of his hotel room had gone viral online without his consent. His wife, who is also upset by this, calls it an “absolute disgrace.”
Virat posted the video on his social media account and captioned, “I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them, and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling, making me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my hotel room, where can I expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.”
Anushka quickly reposted Virat’s clip on her Instagram story with the following caption, “Have experienced few incidents where some fans have shown no compassion or grace in the past, but this is the worst thing. An absolute disgrace and violation of a human being, and anyone who sees this and thinks celebrity ho! Toh deal Karna padega should know that you are also part of the problem. Exercising some self-control helps everyone. Also, if this is happening in your bedroom, then where is the line?”
In the video, a fan enters his hotel room and displays his belongings. Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, David Warner, Parineeti Chopra, and many more expressed their anger in response to Kohli’s video in the comments section.
