Josh Brolin recently reflected on his audition for Batman in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The actor, who is majorly known as Marvel role as Thanos, revealed that he almost got the job of the caped crusader but lost out to Ben Affleck, who was subsequently selected as the superhero.
“It would have been the older, the raspier, for lack of a better phrase,” he added, continuing his idea. The actor said that the concept of playing the Dark Knight was “intriguing,” but that it was Snyder who had to make the decision and that he chose Affleck in the end.
When asked about the Batman offer at the time and whether he would still be interested in it in the future, Brolin said, “Honestly, that would have been a fun deal. And maybe I’ll do it when I’m 80.”
