Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty starrer upcoming film, The Kashmir Files release date is finally out. The film was supposed to be released earlier on January 26 but was pushed due to a spike in Covid-19 cases. Now the makers have decided to release it on March 11, 2022.
Taking to Twitter, Zee Studios shared the film’s poster with a release date, and they captioned it, “Bringing the story of Kashmir Genocide on the big screen. #TheKashmirFiles releasing on 11th March 2022. #RightToJustice.”
Earlier, the makers of the film shared the official statement regarding the postponement of the film’s release date. It reads “reads, “Due to the significant spike in Covid cases in the country and the current scenario on theatres being partially or fully shut down in many states, we have decided to postpone the release of our movie ‘The Kashmir Files.’ Let’s fight the pandemic together. Wear mask & stay safe.”
The Kashmir Files revolves around the genocide of the Kashmiri Pandit Community. The film is a heart-touching story of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri pandits. It questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity.
Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. Along with Anupam and Mithun, The Kashmir Files also stars Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, Puneet Issar and Chinmay Mandlekar in special performances.
The Kashmir Files will hit the theatres on March 11, 2022.
