Anupam Kher is ready with his new film ‘The Kashmir Files.’ Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri directs the film, creating a buzz among audiences a month before its worldwide release.
Zee Studios shared the film’s motion poster on Twitter, and they captioned it, “What is a democracy without #RightToJustice? #TheKashmirFiles on 26th January 2022. #RepublicDay #हम_देखेंगे।
After huge appreciation for Anupam’s last much-talked film, ‘The Tashkent Files’ that won the National Award, Zee Studios and writer-director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri have once again collaborated to give us ‘The Kashmir Files’, which will release on January 26, 2022.
Anupam Kher also shared the film’s motion poster and his look. He will be seen playing the role of Pushkar Nath Pandit, a retired professor of Philosophy. He captioned the post, “I have dedicated my performance in #TheKashmirFiles to the memory of my father #PushkarNath Ji. I have also named my character in the film #Pushkar. It is more than a film for me.”
He further added, “It is the #TRUTH of millions of #KashmiriPandits kept hidden from the world for more than 30years. Finally, it will be revealed on 26th Jan 2022. Sharing my first look with you all! Please help us in spreading the truth. Thanks.”
‘The film is based on video interviews of the first generation victims of the Kashmir genocide of the Kashmiri Pandit Community. It’s a heart-touching story of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri pandits and questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity.
The film is produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri.
