Amazon Prime Video released the trailer of a horror-thriller film ‘Dybbuk: The Curse is Real,’ starring Emraan Hashmi and Nikita Dutta in the lead roles. Jointly produced by T-series and Panorama Studios and directed by Jay K., the film is the official remake of blockbuster Malayalam film – Ezra.
Amazon Prime Video India shared the film’s trailer on their Twitter handle. They captioned the post, “Something lurks inside this ancient box of secrets. Do you have what it takes to unleash the contents of this Dybbuk? Watch #DybbukOnPrime, Oct 29.
The trailer gives a glimpse into a couple’s life (Emraan and Nikita) who stays on the cursed island. Their life turned upside down due to supernatural forces. It starts when Nikita brings home an antique Jewish Box, that turns out to be a Dybbuk box. This box is full of mystery, and it has a dark and twisted history. When she opens the box, a series of terrifying events begin. The trailer promises the powerful performance of actors, horror visuals, and an engaging story.
Talking about the film, Emraan said to the ANI, “Dybbuk’ will mark my first digital feature film, and I am extremely excited to have taken this journey.” He added: “The film is well-crafted and has quite a few jump-scares with a great storyline. We are bringing this film to our audiences at a time when the scarefest will be in full swing owing to Halloween, and I can’t wait to see the audiences make ‘Dybbuk’ a part of their festive season watchlist.”
‘Dybbuk’ will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 29.
