Kajol and Shahrukh Khan starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge completed 26 years today. The film was released on October 20, 1995. Kajol penned a note to thank all her fans for showering their love to mark this special occasion.
Taking Twitter, Kajol shared the iconic train sequence from the blockbuster film DDLJ. In that scene, Bauji (Amrish Puri) realizes Raj and Simran’s love. He allows Simran to go with Raj, saying the famous dialogue, ‘Jaa Simran Jaa, jeele apni Zindagi. Simran then runs to catch the train, and Raj extends his hand to get her into the train, creating a remarkable climax scene.
Sharing the iconic scene on Twitter, Kajol wrote, “Simran caught the train 26 years back, and we are still thanking everyone for all this love.”
Along with Kajol, Shahrukh, and Amrish Puri, The film also starred Farida Jalal, Mandira Bedi, Anupam Kher, Satish Shah, Himani Shivpuri, among many others. Written and directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by his father, Yash Chopra.
DDLJ broke all box office records and is one of the biggest all-time blockbusters in the history of Hindi cinema. The film has won record-breaking 10 Filmfare Awards at a time.
