Filmmaker R Balki’s upcoming directorial venture, starring Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, and Dulquer Salmaan in lead roles, has been titled Chup. The film is a psychological thriller. Maker released the title and motion poster of the movie on the occasion of Guru Dutt’s death anniversary.
Taking Twitter, Akshay Kumar Unveiled the title and the motion poster of the film. He shared the film’s motion poster with the caption, “After watching this, one cannot stay #Chup! I have so many questions, what an intriguing poster! Eagerly looking forward to it, #RBalki.”
The motion poster with the tagline Revenge of the Artist features late filmmaker Guru Dutt with the song ‘Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye Toh Kya hai’ from his film Pyaasa. Hinting that Film Chup is honoring the greatest and most original artist of all time, Guru Dutt.
For the first time, director Balki is venturing into a new genre – thriller. Produced by Hope Productions and Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. Pranab Kapadia and Anirudh Sharma are Co-Producers of the film. The screenplay and dialogues of Chup have been co-written by R Balki, Raja Sen, and Rishi Virmani.
Speaking about the film, R Balki Said, “Chup is an ode to the sensitive artist, and Guru Dutt is right on top of that list. I have had the story for a long time, and I am glad we finally wrote it and are almost done filming it.”
Chup will release in the first quarter of 2022.
