Anushka Shetty, the celebrated actress from South Indian cinema, renowned for her role as Devasena in Baahubali, is all set to mesmerize her fans with a new challenging role in her upcoming film, Ghaati, under the direction of Krish Jagarlamudi. The first-look poster, which was unveiled on the social media site X to mark her birthday, presents Anushka in a menacing avatar, sparking anticipation among her fans.
The first-look poster, a striking visual, portrays Anushka’s character as a woman who has endured hardships, evident from her smoking and flaunting of injuries. This depiction hints at a compelling narrative of defiance and resilience. Ghaati delves into the transformation of a victim into a criminal mastermind, engaging in the illegal cannabis trade, against a backdrop of a poignant and gripping story. The words on the poster, ‘VICTIM. CRIMINAL. LEGEND,’ seem to encapsulate the journey of Anushka’s character, adding an intriguing element to the narrative.
Along with the three previously mentioned words, the makers wrote in the caption of the post on X, “The Queen will now rule the GHAATI. Wishing ‘The Queen’ Anushka Shetty a very Happy Birthday.”
The makers have announced that the first look of Ghaati will be unveiled tonight, November 7, at 4:05 p.m. What’s more, the film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, ensuring that Anushka’s fans across the country can enjoy her new venture.
Anushka’s collaboration with Krish Jagarlamudi, with whom she previously worked on Vedam, is raising hopes. Krish, Sai Madhav Burra, and Chintakindi Srinivas Rao wrote the script for the movie, which is being produced by UV Creations in association with First Frame Entertainments. Jagapathi Babu, Vikram Prabhu, and Ramya Krishnan are among the other actors in the movie.
