The much-awaited film Harbin’s first international trailer and poster were finally released by CJ ENM Movie on July 22, 2024.
The poster’s main focus is Hyun Bin, who plays Ahn Jung Geun, the leader of the impossible attack against Japanese forces in Harbin, China. He walks with his squad, which is all shrouded in mystery, and looks up with a stressed look while wearing a heavy overcoat that reflects his mission.
The opening scene of the foreign trailer for Harbin has a spine-tingling scenario in which Hyun Bin plays Ahn Jung Geun, walking alone on the icy field. He soon becomes invisible as he passes a large group of men and soldiers.
In another scene, Ahn Jung Geun (Hyun Bin) says he still has work to do as a group of men plan an attack on the Japanese forces in Harbin, China. In the trailer, Jeon Yeo Been, who will play Madam Gong, says it won’t be an easy task, and someone points out Harbin to Lee Dong Wook, hinting at the dangerous war they have ahead of them.
In the end, Hyun Bin declares that he will kill the old wolf, leading the Japanese wolves to ravage Korea at all costs to accomplish his impossible task.
Based on the life of Ahn Jung Geun, a Korean independence activist who killed Japan’s first prime minister in 1909, Harbin is a biographical spy thriller film. Despite the danger of an impending backstabber among them, Hyun Bin plays Ahn Jung Geun in the movie set in 1909 and follows him as he infiltrates Harbin, China, to execute his mission.
