The actress recently shared a story in which she shared a reshared photo of Sid with Shankar and Kamal Haasan during the movie’s promotional campaign. The actress said that the film is scheduled for release on July 12 and added the word “period!” with a few heart emojis next to the image.

Shankar’s anticipated sequel to 1996’s Indian, starring Kamal Haasan, is titled Indian 2. In the movie, Senapathy, a veteran freedom fighter, poses as an Indian vigilante to take on societal corruption.
Indian 2 boasts an impressive ensemble cast, with talented actors in key roles. The lineup includes Bobby Simha, Vivek, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Brahmanandam, Samuthirakani, Kalidas Jayaram, Nedumudi Venu, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, and many more. The film also features a special dance performance by Demi-Leigh Tebow, the 2017 Miss South Africa, on the ‘Calender’ Song track.
The film’s soundtrack is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and its official release date is July 12, 2024. The filmmakers have already stated that there will be another instalment. In around six months, the third instalment, titled Indian 3, will probably be released. Kamal Haasan has expressed great anticipation for it.
