Superstar Hrithik Roshan extends warm birthday wishes to filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker and celebrates 15 years of Jodhaa Akbar, a movie milestone in his career.
The epic historical film, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, told the tale of a Rajput princess forced to wed a Mughal emperor to preserve her state. The princess decides to do so, but only under her own rules. The emperor’s devotion and affection eventually win her over.
Hrithik Roshan took to his social media, shared a movie clip, and wrote, “Happy Birthday @ashutoshgowariker. Thank you for trusting me with the monumental responsibility of being a part of Jodhaa Akbar. Your direction & my incredible co-stars will forever be cherished. #15yearsOfJodhaaAkbar”
On February 15, 2008, the day of director Ashutosh’s birthday, Jodhaa Akbar was shown in theatres all over the world. It was a commercial and critical triumph upon release, rising to become the third-highest-grossing Hindi movie of 2008.
On the professional front, Hrithik recently starred alongside Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte in the crime thriller movie “Vikram Vedha,” which received positive reviews from the audience.
The next film in Hrithik’s pipeline is “Fighter,” starring Deepika Padukone. On January 25, 2024, Siddharth Anand’s “Fighter,” which also has Akshay Oberoi, Karan Singh Grover, and Anil Kapoor in significant roles, is scheduled to open in theatres.
